Launched in the U.S. in 1991, Armani Exchange targets a younger customer base with creative, bold designs that remain highly wearable. With a global retail network operating across multiple markets and channels, real-time inventory accuracy and synchronization between sales, stock, and production systems are essential to meet fast-changing consumer demand.

Implementation Plan

1Gate deployed a customized retail solution—1Gate.retail, which leverages RFID technology and is cloud-based. This solution offers retailers the fastest path to RFID adoption, improving inventory accuracy to over 98%. The system enables real-time updates of item details, product categories, quantities, and locations.

Each item is tagged with an RFID label. Armani Exchange staff can use handheld readers integrated with the software to count all inventory in a warehouse within minutes. Data is updated in real time and synchronized with Armani Exchange’s SAP ERP system.

In addition to fast and accurate inventory control at warehouses, 1Gate.retail also empowers retail store staff to track all sold, received, and returned items. As a result, the entire system stays continuously updated, streamlining operations more efficiently than ever.
